It’s not a visit with Grandma Jean without a visit to the zoo! We headed out there on Sunday while Dave was playing in a golf tournament. It was a great day for the zoo, and we walked around the entire zoo and had a big day.
Do you think Ava enjoys the carousal at all? This picture tells it all.
We haven’t been to the farm area during our last few times at the zoo. Tyler spent quite awhile in the goat area petting the goats with Grandma, and they spent some time on the tractors.
We’ve never noticed the bald eagles at the zoo before. Tyler was excited to see them, and wanted a picture with the big birds.
Here are my little climbers, enjoying the spider web climbing net.
This kid could climb all day! I love this picture…
It was a great day at the zoo!
The oldest cousin, Josh, turned 10 last week. We all got together at Grandma Claire’s house on Saturday night for pizza and cake with all 9 cousins, plus their 2 second (third?) cousins. There were 11 kids aged 10 and under, so you can imagine the chaos excitement in the house.
Good thing Grandma has such a big table! Here are all 11 kids around the table eating their pizza.
After dinner, they dug into the dress up bin, and this was the result. Here are Hailey, Lacy and Ava—the princesses, checking out Josh and Matt’s turtle.
It really doesn’t get much cuter than this….
She even has high heels on!
Here we are again, all the kids around the table to sing Josh Happy Birthday and eat some cake!
Josh, making his wish before he….
…blows out his candles.
Happy birthday Josh!
Hard to believe Josh was 10 months old (and the only grand child) when I met him. Now he’s 10 YEARS old! Time flies…
We have a tangerine tree in our backyard, and it is one of my favorite things about our house. It produced a huge crop of delicious, sweet, juicy tangerines, and our kids love them. Ava especially. She peels them herself, and will eat 3 at a time. While I was taking her pictures the other day, she was busy eating tangerines…without her shirt on, of course. It wasn’t until after I saw these pictures that I realized how dirty her hands were!
I love tangerine season! And apparently, so does this little girl….
I’m finally getting through a few pictures for you. I had an afternoon in the backyard where I took a couple hundred pictures of the kids (mostly Ava), and I’ll try to share them in a few separate posts. The kids don’t play in the sandbox all that often, so its been awhile since I’ve had pictures in there. And really, you can’t necessarily tell that they’re in the sandbox!
Enjoy a rare few pictures of Tyler. He’s usually too busy to have his picture taken!
How about this look?
So, I’m sure you’ve noticed that Ava doesn’t like to wear her shirt. She was playing so well, and then she just took her shirt off. The rest of the pictures from this day were of her without her shirt. Someday, she’ll look back and these pictures and ask me why I let her run around without a shirt all the time. I’ll tell her, that it was the only time in her life it would ever be ok!
It’s a pretty standard look for Ava to be shirtless with crazy hair that is dented from the pony tails that she had in her head earlier, but took them out.
