The Dairmans sure know how to throw a party. They held their 2nd annual Santa Party on Saturday night, and it was great fun! The weather was cool again, but not nearly as cold and wet as it was last year for their party. Good thing too, because there were more people there this year, and it would have been mighty crowded if all those people (kids!) were stuck inside the house all night. Joe went all out in his backyard as usual, with an outdoor movie theater equipped with blow up couches and air mattresses and heaters, bon fires and smores, yard games, and lots of festive food.
I set up my camera again and took all of the photos for the parents. Santa was a bit late this year (he got caught up at another event), so the kids were all excited once he finally got there. He got through his big bag of presents for all the kids pretty quickly, and then he stuck around to take some family photos with those who were interested. Our kids were really excited to see Santa this year! What did they ask for? Well, Ava asked for a new bike helmet and Tyler asked for a Lego Space Shuttle that just happens to cost $230 on Amazon. This year may be a life lesson in disappointment, I’m afraid! But, Santa said he’d “see what he can do.” For their gift at the party, Santa brought Ava a Space Barbie (“I can go to Mars Barbie”), and Tyler got a new stop watch. They were both thrilled with their presents.
Ava took every opportunity she could get to cuddle up to Santa, resulting in some pretty adorable pictures!
Tyler is a smart one, I tell you! He brought Santa a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie!
Tyler is thanking Santa for the cool stop watch he gave him. He was pretty impressed that Santa knew that he needed a new one.
Here is Ava looking out the window, watching Santa and Mrs. Clause enjoy some snacks. The Dairmans threw an awesome party for their friends, creating great memories for a whole crew of kids.
