A little rearranging...

In the past couple of weeks, we've rearranged both kids' bedrooms for a little change. Tyler needed a new dresser because his larger clothes were not fitting well in the dresser he got as a baby. We headed to Ikea to get a new one, and then had to do some rearranging to make it all fit right. We moved his bed to the window side and took the dresser out of the closet. He still has his old dresser in there too, and we may use that for toy storage (Legos and such).
Ava didn't want to miss out on the fun of a new room, so we tackled her room on Friday. We also moved her bed to the window side of the room, and rearranged things to allow for a bigger, more open space for playing. She got a toy kitchen for Christmas a couple years ago, and it never really got used. It mostly just took up space (and collected junk) in her room. We put it on Craigslist on Friday, and had someone contact us less than an hour later. They picked it up on Sunday and gave us $100 for it. Not bad! Ava has already played in her room more over the weekend than she has in the last two years. Let's hope that continues for awhile.
Sometimes, it's just nice to change things up a bit!
