Anyone for pasta?

Do you know where your pasta comes from?  Well, here’s a hint….it starts with a pile of durum on the ground in a farm in north western North Dakota.  And you thought it came from Italy….  IMG_3043-1

Tyler is checking to make sure it is the right density…with his face.

And then he made sure it was slippery enough…..

And light enough to toss in the air….

And Ava made sure she could get a good sample on her shovel before it was sent to the pasta factory.

Last, but not least, she needed to test a sample to make sure it tasted right.  Yep!  Tastes good!IMG_3085-1IMG_3055-1

Grandma noticed that Tyler only had on one shoe!  I think that shoe would have been lost forever if we hadn’t noticed right away.  Tyler tossed it down to make sure it didn’t disappear into the durum abyss.

This afternoon might explain the half a cup of grain that poured out of Tyler’s pockets that evening!

Could there be any more fun to be had on Grandpa’s farm?

I think not.
