On New Years Eve, Dave and I ventured to a local appliance store with the idea to look for a new fridge. Ours still worked ok, but there were parts starting to break and we at almost 15 years old, we figured it wouldn't be long before it started to cause us issues. Of course Spencer's was having an end of the year sale, and instead of buying just a fridge, we ended up with all new matching appliances. Not our intended plan, but it was a deal we couldn't pass up. Our appliances were all the same age, and if we were replacing one, we figured it made sense to do them all. Plus, they match very nicely! Check it out!
Here is the before and after of the fridge/stove/microwave. You can see how much of a difference it makes to get the stainless steel in here compared to the black. I've never really liked the black-mostly because it's hard to keep it looking nice. It always seemed to show water spots. I know that fingerprints are a concern with the stainless, but after a tip from the guy at Spencer's to use lemon pledge with a microfiber cloth, it's no big deal. It's actually easier to clean than the black. The stainless also looks great with our white and gray kitchen.
