I write about the kids' Mercado party every fall and spring. The fall one is always the most fun because the kids are all dressed up in their Halloween costumes. This year, Tyler was a character from Minecraft called the White Pumpkin (don't ask, I have no idea), and Ava was a cowgirl. Tyler's costume includes a mask, but he wasn't allowed to wear a mask to school so we settled for face paint. Dave helped him make a really cool ax thing out of cardboard and duct tape too.
Tyler's group at Mercado was making and serving hot dogs and soda.
For Ava's group, she had to cook up 3 packages of spaghetti (mixed with red food coloring), and their activity was to have kids dig through a bin of cooked noodles for prizes.

This is Tyler's new friend Brayden. He's had a playdate with him and he's having a sleepover with Tyler tonight. He's a nice kid and it's great for Tyler to have some new friends.
Ava and Rowyn shared a Kona Ice treat. Rowyn had a great Rey costume from Star Wars.
Mercado is always a fun day for all the kids, and a great way for them to learn from their activities. The kids are so lucky to be at a school that does so many fun things!
